During the first Elde week the students from TTO 5 took part in their return trip to Turin which started during the 4th year. As you can see from the messages they were really looking forward to the food! The first thing we did was meet up with our partners for lunch. Then in the afternoon the Italian students took us for a City Tour through Turin. What a beautiful city with nice squares and buildings!
After a good, first night the sun was shining and we could head off to Galleria d’Italia for a workshop. A bit odd but we travelled by driverless, automated metro! Galleria d’Italia: This was formerly a palace, but it is now an art museum from the Italian bank. After this what a wonderful, sunny afternoon we had! After a stroll through the palace gardens, we visited the Egyptian Museum. The largest museum of Egyptian antiquities in the world. After that, we walked to the river via “Turin’s best ice cream shop” and took the bus back to the school.
We start our third day with some school activities. A workshop about algorithms. Also a few Bulgarian students from another exchange were able to join us. After that we were shown a presentation and a tour from the Italian students about their school. In the afternoon we visited the Cinema Museum. A museum about the evolution of movies and cinemas. Very interesting! We also visited the National car museum – some of us had the time of our lives!
Over all it was a fantastic trip especially considering this is brand new, we have never been to Turin before or visited this school. We had a great time and can’t wait to visit again.
